100 pictures of the clothing industry in Kuopio and its employees from the 1960s to 1990s, as well as the presentation of Urkki Keinänen's book Kuopion Vaatettajat about the same subject.

The Design Peasants – The Kuopio Academy of Design's student exhibition


The Academy of Design autumn groups students have studied the Finnish peasant culture by designing and manufacturing practical products. 

Read Me tour exhibition


Read Me tour exhibition is an ode to books, stories and inspiration. The functional exhibition for 7–14-year-olds is based on a book of the same name, designed by illustrator Sanna Pelliccioni, whose illustrations Siri Kolu has made texts and inspirational word art tasks.

Minä, Muru ja metsä, a mystical forest


Minä, Muru ja metsä, a mystical forest, invites you on an night adventure at the Kuopio City Library Children´s section from 21.11. The Childrens book Me, Muru and the Forrest steps out of its covers and you can explore, stay or stop by the experimental space in the library until the end of the year.
In the KAUK-space, you can also be impressed with visual artist Riikka Viinikanoja's commissioned work and musician Antti Raekallio's sound installation, which was created inspired by Lena Frölander-Ulfin’s work.
 

KASVU (GROWTH) lightwork 20.-22.11.

Lightwork embodies growth formed from shoots to fruits and their fall. At the same time, seasonal variations, harvesting and the vanishing nature are presented, but also its recidiveness. The work is presentable and easy to understand. Large scale, intense colours and patterns create an impressive work. Savonia AMK - Savonia University of Applied Sciences students design and implement the light mixture as part of lighting design training.
