ANTI Contemporary art Festival performances start next week but this week you can already check out the exhibitions in shopping centers in the heart of Kuopio:

Hatsalan 8E, Apollon 8D, Timo Kokko & Elina Rantasuo: KELP!

Shopping centre Apaja, Kauppakatu 45, 22.-31.10.  

Vihreä lehti ja käsi joka maalaa siveltimellä vihreä-keltaisia kuvioita.

KELP! is a media art exhibition where young students in Kuopio and Helsinki discuss what kind of food we might be eating in the future.

deufert&plischke (DE): A Worn World – Open Atelier

Shopping Centre Minna, 2nd floor, Haapaniemenkatu 18, 24.-29.10.

Pieni lapsi snorkkelit päässä ja muovikassa kädessä autiolla rannalla.

A Worn World invites people of any age, origin, gender and ability to take part in open workshops and atelier – to share stories of clothes, shame, memories and fears, to exchange experiences and hand-on-practices.

The students of Sibelius Academy create an autumn atmosphere in Kuopio City Hall's ballroom. Free entry.

Birdhouse bee at Pilppa recreation area 25.10.


Liito-oravia pesässä nukkumassa kasassa.

Welcome to the joy of autumn Sunday and build birdhouses for flying squirrels and birds in the yard of Pilppa Lodge from 10:00 to 13:00. Materials and tools are ready on site. Equip yourself with clothes and gloves that can get dirty and worn. In the yard of Pilppa there is an opportunity to make fires and eat your own snacks. In the event of rain, there is also covered outdoor space to in the yard. The event is free of charge.
