The touring exhibition of the Finnish Architecture Museum – FINNISH ARCHITECTURE. REVIEW 2018 – has come to Kuopio with the help of the Finnish Association of Architects, SAFA. The exhibition will be on display at the lobby of the city council office building from 6.5. to 24.5.2019.
The exhibition offers a cross section to modern phenomena and high level of standards and excellence in Finnish architecture spanning from the second half of 2015 to the first half of 2017. The 16 selected projects showcase a selection of Finnish architectural projects representing exceptional quality, experimentation, extraordinary craftsmanship and re-evaluation of existing conventions. The projects portray smaller buildings as well as massive housing projects and public buildings.
The exhibition is organized by the Museum of Finnish Architecture, The Finnish Association of Architects SAFA and The Alvar Aalto Foundation. The organizers wish to be seen as brand messengers both nationally and internationally by giving this two-year overview the visibility it deserves. The exhibition was on display at the Finnish Architecture Museum, is now touring in Finland and will also be touring abroad later on.
