What to do and what to see in Kuopio - ask tips from our tourist guides

Tourist guides started working on Monday June 14th, and they will help locals and tourists until August 13th. The tourist guides will give tips on what to do and what to see in Kuopio region. They have a wide knowledge on places worth visiting, activities, nature attractions and upcoming events in Kuopio and nearby. You can meet them in Kuopio city centre and in areas nearby: at the market square, at the harbour area, at the Matkakeskus (railway and bus station), at the Valkeisenlampi pond and at the Väinölänniemi park area.

Tourist guides speak Finnish and English fluently. Four tourist guides are working from Monday to Friday 9 am – 6 pm and on Saturday 9 am – 3 pm. You can meet our tourist guide also in the glass pavilion at the market square, Monday to Saturday 12 am - 2 pm.

Tourist guides can be recognized from the light blue clothing with text on the back: “Ask me - Your tourist assistant”.

Mualiman Napa -shop is open

A new glass pavilion has opened at the market square on June 14th. There are Mualiman Napa -shop, tourist information and ticket sales to Hop-On Hopp Off -city bus at the pavilion until August 13th.

The glass pavilion is at the market square close to the Market Hall and the Siskotyttö -statue near Aapeli -shopping center.

Mualiman Napa -shop is open from Monday to Friday 10 am - 4 pm and on Saturday 10 am - 3 pm. There are high quality local products and souvenirs, Kuopio -products and Mualiman Napa -products in the pavilion shop.

Hop-On Hop-Off -city bus ticket sales and service is open from Monday to Friday 10 am - 12 am.
The bus will start operating and the ticket sales will open on Monday June 28th.
