City of Kuopio helps inhabitants in need of assistance in coping with everyday life, providing housing support, financial support, help in supporting the welfare and balanced upbringing of children and support in cases of illness, disability of aging.

Social services help, support and offer advice for habitants experiencing different social and economic difficulties. Social services include for example social work, social counseling, social rehabilitation, family work, home service, home care, housing services and institutional services.
