Enjoy and learn about art and culture
 

In collaboration with other City units and third sector organisations, Cultural Activation develops models for arts education and arts engagement and accessibility in Kuopio.

Cultural Activation also guides, encourages and activates local residents and organisations to act as cultural producers.

The principal aim is to promote opportunities for children, young people, the elderly and groups with special needs to explore a variety of art and culture and express themselves through different art forms.

Examples of the services:
Cultural education plan (Culture Path) for early and basic education
Drama workshops in schools
Community arts workshops for the elderly and groups with special needs
Community arts workshops in local neighborhoods
Nilsiä Music and Dance Camp
Official City festivities (Independence Day, National War Veterans' Day)
Annual events (school holiday activities, student events)
