Try cross-country skiing on the first snow ski tracks at Puijo and Tahko!

The days are long and dark in November and many wish to have something to do to in the winter evenings. The first snow ski tracks at Tahko and Puijo are a good option! Skiing brings wellbeing to the body and mind and helps coping with the darkness. The first snow ski tracks are about one kilometer long and the track profiles are quite easy so everyone from professionals to novices are able to enjoy the fun of winter sports even if there’s no snow elsewhere.

Welcome to Kuopio Community College!

Kuopio Community College offers over 2000 courses each year, where students can learn new skills or continue to study subjects that they enjoy. Anyone who wishes to come may sign up for our courses. No tests are required for the courses and attendance is always voluntary.

Get moving in the winter – Kuopio winter sports superweek from 18–24 February 2019

When the snow comes, Kuopio becomes a large winter recreation area. This week, there will be lots of winter sport events in the city: Finland Ice Marathon on the ice of lake Kallavesi 20–23 February, European winter games 2019 for firemen, polices and paramedics 20.–23.2., Finnish Junior Ski Championships in Puijo 22–24 February.
