Customer fees for Early childhood education Apr 14 – May 13, 2020

The City of Kuopio has decided that the daycare fee will not be charged between April 14 and May 13, 2020, if notified in advance and if the child is absent during the whole time. The notification has to be made latest on Wednesday, April 8 by email or by phone to the daycare center manager or to the supervisor of family daycare.

Day care and preschool education services will continue

Day care and preschool education services will continue to operate in Kuopio. Also, the preschools located in school buildings continue their work. This ensures access to daycare for those children whose parents work in critical sectors of society and enables the parents to go to work. However, the Finnish Government recommends that children are cared for and kept at home, if possible. The City of Kuopio has decided that the daycare customer fee will not be charged between March 23 and April 13, 2020, if notified in advance.
