Applying for a place in daycare
Application for a place in a municipal daycare centre must be filed
• 4 months before the expected starting date of the daycare
• at least 2 weeks before the need for daycare if the need arises from employment, study or training of the parents
The daycare application is valid for six months from the date of filing.

| The parents fills out and send the daycare application electronically. It can also be printed, filled and taken to the nearest daycare centre. | The daycare centre should be contacted latest one month before the expected start of the daycare. | The daycare centre notifies the applicant of the decision in a letter to the applicant’s address. | The day care centre then contacts the family and a date is establish for a tour in the daycare centre for them. | |||
