Psychologist and school social worker services

Pupils and students in pre-primary education, basic education, general upper secondary education and vocational upper secondary education are entitled to psychologist and school social worker services (as stipulated by the Pupil and Student Welfare Act 1283/2013).

These services are part of student welfare, the aim of which is to promote the learning, health and wellbeing of individual students and the school community.

Student welfare work is based on regulations about confidentiality and handing over information. Student data from the student welfare services given to individual students is stored in the client registers of the school social worker and psychologist.
