Cervical Cytology Screening  

A part of women’s mass health services, screening for cervical cancer, i.e. cervical smear (pap testing) is organized in the main health care centre of Kuopio situated at Tulliportinkatu 15, J stairs, 4th floor.

Make an appointment for the screening within one month from receipt of the invitation.  Appointments can be made electronically through eTerveyspalvelu or by telephone at telephone times. In Juankoski, Karttula, Maaninka and Nilsiä screenings are carried out in maternity clinics all year round.

Mammogram screening
 
Mammography screenings are organized every two years for women at the age of 50 – 68 residing in Kuopio (women with birth years ending with an even number are screened in years ending with even numbers and women with birth years ending with an uneven number in years ending with uneven numbers).
The screening is free of charge. Women receive a personal invitation to the screening by post. Posting of the invitations starts in the beginning of the year.
