Electronic services of the City of Kuopio can be found on this page. Most of the links lead directly to the online service or to a fillable form (some of the services and forms are available only in Finnish). Links to the national electronic services can also be found on this page. 

Processing of personal data


The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679, GDPR) entered into force on May 2018. The basic principles of processing of personal data and the rights of the registered person remained mostly unchanged. For example, a person has the right to verify the information about himself/herself and the right to demand a recrification of inaccurate personal data and an erasure of any unnecessary information.

The city collects customer’s personal data to the extent it is necessary in order to take care of the matter. If personal data is collected by consent, an individual has the right to withdraw his/her consent at any given time.

However, a majority of the city's services are based on compliance with a legal obligation or on the exercise of public authority. In corresponding situations, the customer is not entitled to withdraw the data.
The data are collected to different registers according to the purpose of the data. The privacy policies of these registers can be found on the page www.kuopio.fi/tietosuojaselosteet (available only in Finnish).
