City of Kuopio offers early childhood education and care in municipal daycare centres, private daycare centres and in family daycare places. Daycare is provided either in ordinary daycare centre or in a round-the-clock daycare if the service is needed outside the usual daycare hours.
The early childhood education and care of Kuopio is divided into six service areas, where the responsible daycare managers of each area provide service guidance on matters related to municipal daycare and family daycare. The daycare centre managers share the responsibility for organizing daycare places in their respective areas.
Private daycare services are managed by private daycare service managers.
