Instructions for participating in the Minna Canth Award

Participation

• Candidates are considered through nomination, and may not apply on their own behalf.
• An individual or a collective entity can be nominated as the recipient of the award.
• The members of the award working group, pre-jury, or jury are not permitted to make nominations for the award. 

Schedule 2025 – 2026

• 15 September 2025 application period begins
• 15 October 2025 application period closes
• 31 October 2025 the pre-jury announces a shortlist of up to 10 nominees for the award to the jury
• 19 March 2026 the winner of the award is announced
