Valoilmiö brings atmosphere to the first evening of October with live music and a communal light event

The Valoilmiö / Light Effect event will be held in Savilahti on Wednesday, October 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. In honor of Kuopio’s anniversary year, the evening’s program includes a guided tour showcasing the art and lighting installations, as well as performances by two artists: DJ Osmont (K0NTRO collective) and the folk music ensemble Isot muskarilaiset (Savonia). In addition, during the evening’s light event, the audience will have the opportunity to create magical colored lighting for the event area using special lamps and colored filters!

The free guided tour starts at 6:30 p.m. from Savilahdentie road, under the Valosali bridge (the underpass between Prisma and KPY Novapolis), and ends at around 7:15 p.m. at the event area behind the university. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and is organised on foot in the Savilahti area.
