President Stubb visits Northern Savo

President of the Republic Alexander Stubb will visit Northern Savo on November 11–12, 2025.

The visit will begin on Tuesday in Iisalmi. On Wednesday, President Stubb will visit Kuopio. The day will begin at the Emergency Services Academy, where the program includes a meeting with students and observing rescue student training exercises. The Emergency Services Academy is a national educational institution and government agency that provides vocational training in rescue services and emergency response center operations.

From the Emergency Services Academy, the President will move on to a company visit to FinVector. During the visit, the President will learn about the company’s production and meet with staff at the end of the visit. FinVector is a bio-pharmaceutical company that manufactures virus-based gene therapy drugs.

In the afternoon, President Stubb will give an open public lecture and meet with Kuopio residents in the auditorium of the Snellman Building at the University of Eastern Finland at 12:45.

At the end of his visit, the President will inspect the Karelia Air Command in Rissala, where he will learn about conscript training, aircraft maintenance and repair, and command center operations.
