Welcome to Kuopio Event
Have you recently moved to Kuopio? Come and get to know your new hometown, meet other newcomers, and learn about local services and opportunities available in the region.
International House Kuopio is organizing a Welcome to Kuopio event for international residents who have recently moved to Kuopio. The aim of the event is to support participants’ integration and help them settle into their new home city.
During the event, representatives of the City of Kuopio will warmly welcome new residents. A panel discussion featuring people who have moved to Kuopio from different parts of the world will provide insights into their experiences, daily life in Kuopio, and settling into a new community.
You will also have the opportunity to learn about local services, organizations, and projects that offer guidance, activities, and support related to integration, employment, studies, leisure time, and everyday life.
The event will be held in the Banquet Hall of Kuopio City Hall on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The event is open to people of all ages, free of charge, and conducted in English. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
