Kuopio250 Anniversary Year Marketing Guideline

Marketing and Visual Style for Anniversary Events
On the City of Kuopio’s Brand Portal (section 9), you can find anniversary-year social media templates, color schemes, and logos. The portal also offers ready-made social media and advertising templates into which you can add your own images and text.

The Kuopio250 emblem/logo must be used in all communications and marketing related to the anniversary year. This logo is the official mark of the anniversary and should accompany all materials associated with the 250-year celebration.
Official Program Logo
We have added an official program logo to the Kuopio250 branding set, which is used alongside the main Kuopio250 logo.
The official program logo is issued to all events, publications, and works that have passed the official program selection process.
The program logo is granted beginning in February. Events already accepted into the program can request the program logo from the Kuopio250 project team by emailing kuopio250@kuopio.fi.
In your communication, you may label your event as “Approved for Kuopio250 Program” or similar to show it is part of the official lineup.
Marketing & Event Materials
You can order anniversary-year marketing and event materials at your own cost through the MyGrano service. In the service, you’ll find materials matching the anniversary visual identity, which can be used in various related events and functions. Prices are visible in the service for each item. Available materials include customizable poster templates, roll-ups, beach flags, ceiling banners, stickers, and caution tape.

Kuopio250 marketing products are also available via the Kuopio250 online store, where you can order items like T-shirts, pins, lanyards, and fabric patches to your doorstep. The selection will expand as the year progresses — stay tuned!

Highlight the Anniversary in Your Event
When marketing your event, it’s important to clearly indicate that it is part of the Kuopio250 anniversary year. Use phrases like:
- “This event is part of the Kuopio250 program.”
- “This event has received Kuopio250 production support.”
Event Visibility
Once your event is approved as part of the official program, add it to Kuopion Seinä (Kuopio Wall) under the “Kuopio250 – Anniversary Year” category.
Please enter your event into the Kuopion Seinä event calendar by the 15th of the preceding month to maximize visibility. For example, December events should be added by 15 November. The earlier you submit, the more exposure your event can receive.
Recommended cover image size: 1920 × 1080 px (16:9). Leave margins so that text and imagery aren’t cut off at edges.

Please use the official hashtag #Kuopio250 in social media posts and tag @kuopionkaupunki when posting about your event.
Event Photography & Video
We encourage you to take photos and/or video of your event, which the city may use in its communications and marketing for the anniversary year. You may email images to kuopio250@kuopio.fi.
