In addition, Ohjaamo hosts visiting experts from different fields, whose services are available to you according to the One-Stop Guidance Center’s and Navigaattori’s weekly schedule.
Ohjaamo can help you with various issues, such as:

- finding study opportunities and your dream field

- housing and everyday life
- finances
- filling in forms
- finding interesting hobbies
- handling your affairs with public authorities

In addition to open hangouts, Youth corner also hosts themed sessions:

In honor of World Mental Health Day (Oct 10), we’ll talk about everyday ways to support mental wellbeing. Join us for an open discussion and share ideas on small actions that can boost your daily wellness. - October 28, 13:00–15:30
Halloween-themed creative session! Come paint freely on a large shared canvas. There will also be games, music, snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere. Spooky costumes are welcome (but not required). The scariest outfit will win a prize! - November 4, 13:00–15:30
Summer jobs are coming! The first summer job openings for next year will be published already in November. We’ll go through the most reliable job search channels and how staffing agencies work. We’ll also discuss what makes a good CV and job application. - November 25, 13:00–15:00 (note the time!)
Wondering about your ability to work or study? Do you have health concerns or questions about neurodiversity? Come chat with the Work Ability Coordinator. We’ll go over options for health assessments and different types of rehabilitation.
You can talk about any issues with a youth counsellor, no matter the topic.

If need help with your studies and developing your competence to support your job search, you can book a personal guidance appointment.
Your guidance discussion can focus on variety of topics, such as
- assessing your competence
- educational opportunities and fields
- funding options for your educational/training period
- the educational offerings of different institutions
- currently available labour market training programmes
- advise on planning your studies and applying for studies
We collaborate closely with the region’s educational institutions and various networks to make it easier for you to find information on the many career-related opportunities that are available to you.

Kela’s customer service is available to Ohjaamo customers via a remote connection. In the remote service, you can talk to Kela’s service expert with a computer video and audio connection.
In the remote service, you get personal advice and you can handle the same things as at the Kela service point. The remote service corresponds to the service of the Kela service point.
You can use the remote service when you need
- personal advice and guidance on Kela’s benefits
- help in making an application
- help with online services.
Take your necessary documents with you. Service is available in finnish, english, swedish and northern sami.

Employment specialist at Ohjaamo assists all local residents between the ages of 15 and 29, providing them with guidance and advice in matters related to e.g. job searches, career planning, and unemployment benefits.

The Work Ability Coordinator at Ohjaamo supports you if you’re concerned about your ability to work or function in everyday life. They help identify health-related challenges and rehabilitation needs, and can guide you to health assessments or vocational rehabilitation provided by Kela, if needed. Support is also available for neuropsychiatric challenges.
The Work Ability Coordinator works closely with the multidisciplinary employment promotion network (TYM) and other professionals.

The One-Stop Guidance Center’s doors are also open to professionals who work with young people. For example, you can present your services or organise recruitment events at the Center’s premises.
You can also visit the Center with a group or ask one of its employees to come to your educational institution to tell you more about the Center’s services. We are always happy to participate in various theme days and other events.
