The season for Vilkku City Bikes starts on 27 April
The season for Vilkku City Bikes begins on Monday 27.4. There will be 500 City Bikes and a total of 54 stations available at the start of the season. A new station will open near the Maljalahti S-Market, and the Mölymäki station will move to the sand field across from the stadium. Another 2–3 stations will open later.
Seasonal passes available in advance sales before the season starts
This season, you can purchase a season pass even before the season begins. Season passes are available for advance purchase during April at last year’s price of 65 euros. From the beginning of May, the price of the season pass will increase to 70 euros.
The per-minute usage fee will decrease from last season’s 20 cents to 15 cents per minute.
We would like to remind users that city bikes may not be rented for commercial or professional use, and bags or equipment may not be attached to the bike in such a way that they remain attached after the ride.
In accordance with the city bike terms of service, the aforementioned violations constitute a material breach of contract, and the agreement regarding the terms of use for the bike may be terminated immediately, without warning or notice. In the event of a breach of contract, fees paid for usage rights will not be refunded.
Last season, Vilkku bikes were ridden for over 860 000 km. The usage rate was approximately 3, which is a moderate figure. The most popular stations were the Market Square, Savilahti, Kauppakatu Street (Cafe Houkutus), Neulamäki and Männistö.
