The City of Kuopio is mapping people’s travel habits, needs and experiences related to getting around the city centre. Now you have the opportunity to share your views by taking the city centre mobility survey.
The survey is open until 31 October 2026 and takes approximately 10–20 minutes to complete. Every response is valuable in planning the future of the city centre.
This map-based survey explores how people travel within Kuopio city centre, what their experiences of mobility are, and how they would improve the city centre’s transport environment. Understanding the needs and perspectives of people who move around the city centre is essential for developing it into a functional, pleasant, and accessible environment for everyone.
The survey is open to everyone interested. You can participate even if you do not travel in the city centre regularly or do not live in Kuopio. The views of occasional visitors are also valuable in helping to build a comprehensive picture of mobility in the city centre.
The survey results will be used as background material for planning the transport system in Kuopio city centre. In addition, the data will be used in a master’s thesis at Aalto University, which examines different groups of people who travel in the city centre.
Participants who complete the survey can also enter a prize draw to win a €50 City of Kuopio gift card. The gift card can be used, for example, to top up a Kuopio region public transport travel card or to purchase access to the city’s sports and recreation facilities.
