Vatanen hut
Vatanen is located along a 2.7 m fairway, about 3 km north of Puutossalmi. The fairway on the west side is about 200 meters away. On the western shore of the island there is a small sandy cove near which a fishing hut has been built. There is a firewood supply at the site. The beach is reasonably deep so it can be reached even by a big boat, but quite unprotected, especially in southwesterly and northerly winds. In the strait between Vatanen and the small rocky island north of it, there is a stern buoy where you can seek refuge in case of wind. There are no structures on the small island. The island is located 2.7 m along the shipping lane.
