Hietasalon campfire site 1
The western shore of Hietasalo has long sands that are ideal for sunbathing and swimming, for example. The island also has the water intake of the City of Kuopio and an artificial groundwater area, under the conditions of which the landing must take place. High winds from the southwest and northwest may make landfall difficult. The island has a boat pier, two cooking shelters, three separate campfire sites and sheds, two toilets, a composter and waste disposal points, and there is a firewood supply on the property. The water from the well shown on the map is not drinkable!
