Notification of child’s care times
In the early childhood education and care services of the City of Kuopio, Edlevo application is used for notifications of children’s care times, absences and holidays. Edlevo is also used to publish notices concerning the early childhood education and care services and your child’s day-care centre. The application is free of charge. You can download Edlevo as a mobile app to your phone or tablet. Edlevo can also be used as a device independent web application.

All families must book their care times. This also applies to children who only attend pre-primary education.
Notification of the care times must be given at least one week before the child needs care. Bookings can no longer be accepted for the current or next week. The system shuts down at midnight on Sunday, and the next 14 days will then be locked.
If the child also needs evening care/non-standard hour care: the care times should be notified for the group in which the child needs care AND absences should be notified for the group from which the child will simultaneously be absent.
Extended opening hours and round-the-clock care
The care time notifications can be copied from one day or week to another, and between siblings.
Care times can be notified six months in advance.

A part of the day-care centers are closed at the same time with Basic education.

Family daycare backup care is arranged in open daycare centers.
Preschool groups located at schools will move to daycare centers during the holidays.
Number of open daycare centers can be increased or decreased if necessary.
Parents will be informed about arrangements related to holiday periods.

Edlevo can be used by the child’s official guardians.
To log in to Edlevo, use Suomi.fi e-Identification with your online banking IDs or mobile identification.
The mobile app will remain open for one month unless you log out.
