Roam Katiskaniemi
Located at Rauhalahti, Katiskaniemi is almost entirely a nature reserve. The most valuable parts of this approximately 14-hectare reserve are the deciduous-dominated herb-rich forests and impressive pine forests on rocky ground. The area's biodiversity is enhanced by old deciduous trees and the communities of organisms along the shoreline. You can walk, ski and pick berries and mushrooms in Katiskaniemi. In the sensitive herb-rich forests and rocky pine forests, please keep to the paths. Cycling is only permitted on sawdust trails and the road. You can learn about the biodiversity of the site on an approximately two-kilometre-long nature trail.
