Hyperactive activities for children and young people in Kuopio during the skiing holiday!

There’s plenty to do for schoolchildren and families of all ages every day, and in between outdoor activities you can pop indoors for a variety of events. There are plenty of free activities on offer.

Kuntolaakso and Lippumäki swimming pools will start the holiday week with Kauko Day swimming on Sunday 3.3., when swimming is free of charge for all customers, provided by Kuopion Energia. During the holiday week both swimming pools will be open all day Mon-Fri 4-8 March, free of charge for children under 18. Water jumping towers and Wibit water slide are available at certain times in Kuntolaakso. In Kuopio Hall, children under 18 years of age can exercise free of charge Mon-Fri 4-8 March between 8am and 4pm, unless other reservations have been made (there is a charge for the gymnastics area). Kuopio Hall gym is open to people aged 15 and over. Other activities on offer include bowling, a sports camp, a family day at Airaksela, Megazone games and Räsä-Ukko ski tour on 2-3 March, which is free of charge for children under 18.

Main exhibitions at Kuopio Museum and Kuopio Art Museum have enough to see and explore for a whole day. During the holiday week museums also offer workshops for children and young people, mobile games, children’s guided tours. Admission to Kuopio City museums, Orthodox Church Museum RIISA and VB Photography Centre is free of charge for children under 18.

Varied programme of the super ski holiday also includes a wide range of workshops, courses and day camps, including crafts, sports, design and animal care. Youth centres offer free activities for schoolchildren of all ages. Pinari offers playhouse, arts and crafts and a noodle bar, while Latari offers outdoor activities and disco.
