As a rule, the announcements and public notices of the City of Kuopio are only available on the City’s website. The issuing of public notices is based on the public notice procedure referred to in special legislation. The public notices are published on a physical notice board of the City or a relevant authority and, where appropriate, primarily in Viikkosavo newspaper (circulation area the City of Kuopio) and, at the discretion of the notice issuer, in one or more local newspapers. These public notices include building control services’ building permit decisions that are available for public viewing at the City Council building, Suokatu 42. 

Other methods of notification deemed appropriate may also be used on a case-by-case basis.
