Activities causing temporary noise and vibrations
A notification of a temporary activity or event that causes particularly disturbing noise and vibration must be submitted to the municipal environmental protection authority. Notification is to be submitted, for example, for outdoor concerts, crushing work and temporary excavation or for piling work lasting more than 20 working days (Environmental Protection Act, section 118).
The notification of temporary noise and vibration shall be made in good time before the start of the event or work, but no later than 30 days before that date. The notification must be submitted via the Lupapiste.fi service.
The processing of the notification under the Environmental Protection Act is subject to a fee approved by the City of Kuopio’s Environmental and Building Board.
