Suokatu recreation centre (Suokatu 6)

adapted gym groups (Get your muscles moving) is intended for young people and adults with developmental disabilities and aged between 16 and 65. In the group, you will get training tips and learn how to use gym equipment independently. Those who require extensive support can participate together with their personal assistant. Personal assistants are not required to pay.

The price of the course is EUR 31 for 13 guided sessions. 

To participate on gym courses you need to buy also a well-being pass for the sports facilities of service centres or you need to have the pass which entitles the free use of sports halls.

The prices for the well-being pass are EUR 54 for a 6-month pass and EUR 75 for a 12-month pass, plus an EUR 8 wristband onto which the benefit is added. A new wristband to replace a lost one costs EUR 9.10.

Certain groups are entitled to the free use of the indoor swimming pools, all sports hall gyms, and the Kuopio Hall running track area (subject to decision by the Social Insurance Institution of Finland, Kela). The wristband is personal, and you must have it with you when using the services. You must also be prepared to verify your identity and age.
