Volunteer work in Kuopio

Ihmisiä kesäretkellä luonnossa.

Are you looking for meaningful content in your life? Have you been thinking about how you could help others? Are you interested in physical activity, sports, culture, or other themes?

Volunteer work is reciprocal work carried out for the benefit of other people, communities, or the environment without seeking financial reimbursement. There are many types of volunteer work, such as working as an elected official for associations, guiding leisure activities and sports groups, and volunteering at events. Volunteering may be occasional, one-off, or longer-term.

Volunteering is based on the individual’s own values and interests. In addition to a new community, volunteering provides you with joy and new experiences. Volunteering is also a way to be involved and learn new things. Volunteering can also have an impact.

Peer work is voluntary work that is based on one’s own life experiences, skills, and personality. Peer support is systematic support between two people or in a group. Participants in peer support are equals, and usually act as both the supporters and the supported.
